GraphStudio Update Instructions for ZoomCharts Expiration Issue

Overview

To simplify third party software licensing for TigerGraph Inc. and its users for the long term, TigerGraph will no longer be licensing the ZoomCharts visualization library after December 31, 2023. This is purely a licensing issue and is not related to the functionality or performance of ZoomCharts.

New versions of the TigerGraph Suite which do use ZoomCharts has been developed for the 3.6 and 3.9 versions of TigerGraph.
TigerGraph 3.9.3 already uses the new version.
TigerGraph Cloud instances have been updated or will update before the end of 2023.

We encourage you to perform an update as soon as possible to take advantage of the latest features and improvements in TigerGraph Suite. Failure to update before the expiration date may result in the display of a "License Expired" label in your graph visualizations.

No other features will be affected and this upgrade will not affect production use or result in any downtime for the upgrading system.

Update Instructions

Please follow the steps below based on your current database version.

Database Version 3.6.2, 3.6.3, or 3.6.4

Login to your TigerGraph instance’s backend server and change the current user to "tigergraph_system_user" (e.g., sudo su tigergraph).

Download the following package to your database server to the root folder of the TigerGraph installation (e.g., /home/tigergraph).

Verify that the MD5 checksum of your downloaded package matches the following hash code: 7a0aa398182d1fe0156e49844a6a209c

md5sum gst-upgrade.tar.gz
```
From the tigergraph installation directory, unzip the package to reveal the upgrade script.
```
tar -xvf gst-upgrade.tar.gz
```

Run the upgrade script using the following command

bash upgrade.sh

Result

The file tools-all.tar.gz exists in the current path.
The current user is tigergraph, start upgrade the tools ...
